For us, sustainability is about what we can achieve in the long-term. First, and foremost our business focus is on improving, rather than taking from the communities and environments that our products are created from.
The construction process of every pair of LN Boutique Jutti's are 100% carbon neutral as they are entirely stitched by hand. Currently our shoes are transported to New Zealand from India via air freight. To improve our supply chain further we are committed to switching to sea freight by 2030.
Our packaging is made from 100% recyclable products, from our smaller sized shoe boxes to the tissue wrap made from recycled paper.
We use genuine cow, buffalo leather and camel skin to make our shoes. We don’t use any harsh chemicals during any stage of the process. Our Juttis are stitched together using cotton threading as well as small amounts of vegetable-made adhesive paste. We are working on offering 100% vegan leather shoes in near future.
Our shoes are made at a much slower pace than many fast fashion brands. Our shoes are made by hand, and care is taken during every step of the process to produce a quality product.
As a company, we are proud to be contributing to a more circular economy. One that focuses on treating people, the environment, and the materials we use with respect. We’re proud to be supporting the skills of small communities in need while bringing New Zealander’s beautiful shoes and accessories.
We are a small company with big goals for our future. As well as shifting to a less carbon producing mode of freight. This means if for any reason our customers are looking to get rid of their items, they can send their shoes back to us rather than throwing them away.
From here, we will salvage as much of the resources that we can, recycling beading, leather and other elements into new products.
